Book Inspection

Please review the following terms and conditions before proceeding with your inspection request:

  1. Booking Notice Period

    • A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for domestic works.

    • A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required for commercial works.

    • Urgent booking request shorter than then minimum period above will incur extra 50% of the inspection fee.

    • All bookings are subject to inspectors’ availability.

  2. Cancellation Policy

    • A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations.

    • Same-day cancellations will incur the full inspection fee.

  3. Booking Cut-Off Time

    • Inspection requests must be submitted by 4:00 PM on business days. Requests received after this time will be processed on the next business day.

  4. Structural Engineer Inspections

    • If a qualified structural engineer is engaged to carry out mandatory inspections, the Relevant Building Surveyor (RBS) must be notified prior to the inspection.

    • Where the inspection is failed, a Regulation 173 Record of Inspection must be provided to us witin 48 hours of the inspection.

    • Where the inspection is approved, a Regulation 126 Certificate of Compliance for Building Work must be provided to us within 48 hours of the inspection.

  5. Inspection Timeframes

    • Clients may request an AM or PM inspection timeframe, but this cannot be guaranteed.

    • For domestic inspections prior to concrete pouring, an exact time can be specified, but a 3-hour time window will apply.

  6. Pre-Booking Requirements

    • Ensure all previous inspections have been passed before booking further inspections to avoid cancellations or rescheduling.

    • For frame inspections, please submit truss computations and layouts to office@vantagebc.com.au prior to requesting the inspection.
